Juliana's pregnancy surprised both she and Justice completely. They'd been trying to conceive for over a year without success, so when they realized they were having a baby, it was almost surreal. They decide to save a minimum of §2000 simoleons to prepare. That means lots of work in the garden for Justice, and a lot of gathering for Juliana. Justice is good at tidying up the house, but that's about as far as his help reaches. His greatest skill is opening the refrigerator. But that's just Juliana's hormones talking. 'I'm feeling so tired lately, and a little out of sorts.' 'I know you've had so much to do, what can I do to help?' 'How about a back rub?' 'Absolutely!' Of course the back rub is nice, but Juliana needs to get away for little while. No computer screen, no hubby, no rocks and plants. She calls Moira and meets her at the restaurant. 'Oh wow, holy baby bump, Jules!' 'I should have warned you! I've been crazy busy. Let's get a table and catch up.' 'All those emails with your drafts and nothing about the new baby, wow...' Moira smiles and they sit down. 'I'm completely shocked that you're this pregnant. Not that you don't look amazing.' Moira looks sheepish for a moment. 'No worries, I know I'm as big as a house. After we came home from your party I found out. We wanted to make sure everything would be okay before we told everyone. I'm actually not that far from my due date.' 'I thought you'd been awfully quiet lately, but the focus and drive you have to finish your books is stunning so I assumed you were busy filling pages.' 'I'm so happy to have this baby. Justice and I were trying for so long without any luck. He was worried about having kids, but I guess it's going to be okay after all.' 'He's always been like that, a bit of a worrier. I know he's going to be a fantastic dad. You should have seen him with Morgan when she was little. You got a good one!' After breakfast, they said their goodbyes, and Juliana promised to let her know when the baby arrived. By the time she opened the front door, Juliana was hungry again. Early afternoon set in, and Justice and Juliana did the gardening together. Partway through Juliana stopped Justice, 'Ooh! The little ones kicking! Wanna feel?' 'Whoa! That's insane! Does it hurt?' Juliana giggles, 'No, they're just love taps from little feet.' They went inside and Juliana made tacos. Delicious tacos. Justice did the dishes and cleaned up while Juliana tip-tapped on the keyboard. She's only §73 away from her §2000 goal, and this last book will earn her that money nicely. Several nights later Juliana just can't get comfortable in bed. She's the size of a tank, and can't sleep for more than a few hours at a time. Plus she's hungry; brownies will help. They always help. Justice sleeping soundly in his bed, hears a shout. 'What? Who's....Where? Juliana!' Juliana waddles into the room, 'Oh man, it's time to go to the hospital,' 'It is?! Of course it is. Let's go!' Justice turns to run for the door. 'Wait! Get dressed first, and my bag; don't forget my bag!' They arrive at the hospital, and Juliana isn't letting her nerves show. 'Hi, I called a few moments ago, I'm checking into maternity.' Justice zooms past her, 'No time for formalities! Follow me!' At the delivery room, Juliana is told that Daddy's-to-be have to wait outside. What is this? 1948?! Juliana dons her hospital gown and settles into the somewhat unsettling delivery equipment. Justice, on the other hand, dons his game face and settles into some Sims Forever. After what seems like ages, Juliana meets her darling son, Jett. Justice is finally allowed to enter the hospital room, but the staff has already whisked little Jett off to the nursery. 'Are you okay? You look beautiful,' 'I'm fine, but tired. I'm ready to go home,' Juliana holds her precious boy one more time before heading home. Juliana and Justice embrace while Jett sleeps. So, this is what it is to have a son.
